About Me:
Hihi!! My name is Julia Yuan, and I am currently a Health Science major on the Pre PA track with a Studio Art minor here at UF! Some of my hobbies include making art (mostly 2-D think ink, graphite, paint, etc.), trying new restaurants in Gainesville (#yum), going to house parties with local bands, shopping, doing makeup/nails, and hanging out with my friends <3. Currently, I work at the UFIT Help Desk so if you're ever having technical issues, hit me up and I can help you out LOL. After I graduate, I'd like to go to PA school (preferably UF- but that 6% acceptance rate isn't looking too hot...) and eventually go on to become a Dermatology PA with a specialization in the cosmetic side of skin. Oh, and a fun fact about me is that I can't swim despite having taken 4 years of swim lessons and growing up on Cape Cod...
Why KPL?
I chose KPL because of the people of course!! Not to be cheesy, but I'd literally ride or die for my line sxsters like...I love them SO MUCH. Aside from the people, everything about KPL spoke to me, from the pillars (#sisterhoodserviceandculturaldiversity) to the symbols, to the overall vibe that I felt from KPL while visiting at tabling events. This is genuinely such a warm and welcoming sorority that accepts everyone AND encourages individuality- something that I seriously value as a queer POC. #livelaughloveKPL<33

About Me:
My name is Laura Vuong and I am a proud Vietnamese-American. I want to gain technical skills which would aid me in business administration through my time here at college. I love going out to find places to eat, watching shows (acting in them sometimes), and taking long drives all over Florida. I am a Google Calendar and oat milk advocate!
Why KPL?
Although some disagree, I believe that who you spend your time with reflects you—I want to be with a group of motivated individuals who are passionate in what they specialize in, and to learn from the different perspectives and cultures I would be surrounded by. I’ve built relationships with professionals, peers, and organizations through my involvement in community initiatives—I plan to continue my professional development at University of Florida through Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority Inc.

About Me:
Hihi, my name is Victoria Vu (vv, vicky, vivu, or whatever you want to call me). I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Fl (DUUUVVVAALLLLL) by a very close knit family. I’m an INFP 4’11 gemini who unfortunately has a CS hunch. I love to crochet, get sweet treats, and just overall dilly-dally with the people I love (especially late at night). I’m a recovering sweet treat and Life Savers Mints Wint O’ Green addict as I unfortunately found out I got 10 cavities… Anyways, a nice dream of mine is to live in the middle of nowhere and have a cute farm/garden in the future!
Why KPL?
SISTERHOOD, SERVICE, AND CULTURAL DIVERSITY. I never considered joining a sorority at all during my first two years of college until a friend convinced me to go to one of their recruitment events. Seeing how confident and supportive the sxsters were made me feel like I could be a better version of myself with them. The skills that I built as well as the friends I made a long the way made me realize I have no regrets in joining KPL. I love KPL!!!

About Me:
Hiii I'm Satya! I was born and raised in Miami, FL but a pacific northwest girl at heart (fun fact: I lived in Portland, Oregon for a year). I grew up surrounded by music and art my entire life and thrive in creative environments. With my business degree, I aim to work in the music and entertainment industry and maybe even start my own record label highlighting Black and Asian musicians in the future :3. Some of my hobbies include: tiktok doomscrolling, bedrotting, dancing, making playlists on spotify, being nonchalant, going to concerts and music festivals, hiking and basking in sunlight, and trying new foods and drinks :p!
Why KPL?
As I first got involved in AASU, I used to always see Kappas around and thought they had crazy aura. I was intimidated at first and apprehensive about rushing. But, it wasn't until I had the opportunity to get to know a few sxsters personally and found them to be extremely fun to be around and so genuine and kind. Due to my personal interactions with many different sxsters being so silly and fun, I wanted to meet even more Kappas and take a chance on being apart of this sxsterhood <3.

About Me:
Hi! My name is Sharon and I am from here in Gainesville (if you want a full ACR tour let me know!). My end goal is to become a doctor, although I am not sure which speciality yet. When I’m not locked in, I love playing League of Legends, Rhythm Hive, and Pokemon TCGP! I also enjoy collecting Pokemon cards, blind boxes (Hirono, Smiski, etc.), and any cute trinket in general. I am always down to study at a local coffee shop, take day trips out of town, or go to concerts!
Why KPL?
I wanted to be a part of an organization where I can develop myself both professionally and socially, and after going to the recruitment events I realized that KPL would be able to provide that for me. As I met more sxsters, I felt a genuine sense of belonging and was able to bond with people who share my sense of humor. I’ve truly found a space where I can completely be myself, and I will always be thankful for this sxsterhood, my big, and my line.

About Me:
Bello! My name is MyVy ("mee-vee" like TV) and I am from Orlando, FL. I was born in Guam (was almost an island gyal) but moved to Orlando at the ripe age of 1. My hobbies include eating, sleeping, and catching a vibe anywhere. I love hanging out with my friends and anything to do with music. I can't function without coffee and the occasional dose of Clash Royale or Minion Rush. Some of my aspirations are to become better at cooking, playing the piano and guitar, and parking.
Why KPL?
Kappas has provided a home for me where l can grow and comfortably be myself. Sxsters have always been so welcoming and genuine, and I am forever grateful for having such a supportive and fun community. Kappas are individuals that I know I can always rely on for anything, and I will always be there for even beyond my college years.

About Me:
Hiii! My name is Nancy Vutuan (she/her), and I’m a computer science major. I was born and raised in New Jersey and moved to Florida after my sophomore year of high school. I tend to be introverted, but I really love getting to know others and spending time with people who bring out the best in me. Some of my favorite things include going to concerts, anything Sanrio, blind boxes, sweet treats, boba, and kpop (Stray Kids is my ult). I also love exploring new food places, shopping, and relaxing with a good drama or romance book (I’m always looking for recs!).
Why KPL?
Coming to UF, I never expected to join a sorority until I found out about KPL through tabling. At first, I was nervous about putting myself out there, but something about KPL just felt right. When I came out to recruitment events, I immediately felt the warmth, authenticity, and love that the sxsters shared. Everyone made me feel welcome and seen for who I truly am. I had been searching for a community where I could belong, and KPL felt like home. I saw a space where I could grow into the best version of myself, be surrounded by strong, kind women, and create lasting bonds that go beyond college. KPL continues to inspire me to embrace my identity, uplift others, and stay connected to something greater than myself :)

About Me:
Hihii! My name is Kaitlyn!! :D I'm from Davie FL, but no one really knows where that is so I usually just say Ft. Lauderdale LOL. I was a dancer for 15 years and got to perform at various cool places like Universal Studios, Miami Heat + Miami Dolphin's games, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York! In general I stopped dancing once I moved away to UF, but I also enjoy baking, crocheting, shopping, playing video games, watching movies (especially Studio Ghibli), and traveling! I love everything pink and Sanrio + I'm always down for a sweet treat— so if you ever need a buddy to get boba with, hit me up! ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა
Why KPL?
After being introduced to KPL at the AASA Showcase as a Freshman, I always wanted to join but was too nervous as I'm usually a very shy and anxious person. However, after reflecting on my college experience so far, I decided I wanted to get more involved on campus and push myself to try new things— so, I finally built up the courage to attend recruitment events this semester! Although it was initially very intimidating, I quickly realized that everyone was genuinely super nice/welcoming and there was nothing to be afraid of. Sxsters have provided me with a safe and supportive community where I feel confident in being myself; I am so glad I took a chance on Kappas as I have already made so many amazing new friendships and memories, and I can't wait to see where this journey takes me next! :) ˚ʚ♡ɞ˚

About Me:
Hi! I'm Stephanie, and I was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida! A fun fact about me is that I’m a huge foodie. When I’m not busy with school or extracurriculars, you’ll probably find me exploring new restaurants and cute cafes. I also love shopping and collecting blind boxes—especially Sonny Angels! I have around 40 of them so far. One of my biggest goals in life is to travel the world. I love experiencing new cultures and trying different foods. Recently, I’ve traveled to Japan and Vietnam, and I’m hoping to continue exploring even more countries!
Why KPL?
I was looking for a community that would encourage me to step out of my comfort zone and help me grow as an individual. After attending the recruitment events, I saw how genuinely supportive the Sxsters are of one another, and it made me realize—this is exactly the kind of environment I want to be a part of.

About Me:
Hiii! My name is Eudora! I'm from Homestead, FL and in my free time, I like reading fun books, watching shows, and baking. I love making cookies but I do want to branch out and try new recipes. I am also always down for a sweet treat! I also love going to the beach (when it's not insanely hot out) and just having a relaxing day to unwind. Something about being outside when the sun is shining, hearing the waves, being with friends, and just enjoying the moment. Fun fact though, I cannot swim, but I definitely want to learn sometime in the near future.
Why KPL?
I decided to come out to recruitment because ever since starting at UF, I had been searching for a place where I could truly be myself and feel a sense of belonging. KPL has been such a warm and welcoming space. I feel completely comfortable being who I am, while also being inspired to grow into the best version of myself. Coming out to recruitment was definitely a step outside my comfort zone, but connecting with the sxsters came so naturally, which made the experience that much more meaningful. I also really admire the strong bond shared between everyone, something I think is so genuine and special.
