Hi! My name is Kelly, and I'm from LI, NY. I'm a middle child of 2 siblings, and I'm also a ENFJ-A. A lot of my joys in life come from family, friends, nature, food, art, writing, and a steaming cup of coffee/tea/soup. On a more personal level, one of my major goals in life is to self-actualize, becoming everything that I can be. I don't want to leave with any regrets or feel like I have wasted my potential; at the end of the day, I want to be able to wholeheartedly say with my chest that I have tried my best. In terms of my morals, I strongly value genuine support, kindness, proactiveness, honesty, respect, and emotional acuity. I try to embody these traits daily and aim to surround myself with others who do as well.

Why KPL?

I chose to join Kappas because I admire the sxsters in it and believe in the developmental value of the sorority. I truly believe that your environment and those that surround you speak greatly to your character as they influence your habits, beliefs, and goals. As a result, I strive to be around those who not only inspire and push me to become a better person through their own lifestyle/actions, but also support and encourage me to find my own path to happiness/success through tender care. The Kappa community and environment embody this exact duality of strength and softness. Everyone is Kappas is so strong, accomplished, and hardworking yet also so full of gentle love and kindness. Not to mention, the values, programming, and foundation of sorority itself are built on altruism and friendship.

Hiii! My name is Hailey! I’m from Apollo Beach, FL. My major is general psychology and I hope to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor after I obtain my master’s. I love baking, dancing (started at 5 years old!), going to the gym and beach, and traveling. I would say my main love languages are quality time and acts of service. I love hanging out with my friends and family whenever possible. I consider myself a pretty spontaneous person so I will always be down to do something, even if I’ve never done it before! I also enjoy being silly goofy with people I’m comfortable with :p

Why KPL?

I chose to join Kappas to find a true sense of community. I wanted to continue pushing myself to form deeper, lifelong connections with everyone in this sorority. Since showing interest during recruitment events, I have experienced nothing but support and love from all of my sxsters. Everyone has been incredibly welcoming and has truly demonstrated the values of sxsterhood.

Joining Kappas has been one of the best decisions I have made, and I would not change it for the world <3 I am so excited for the future and to continue meeting new people as well!

Hihiii my name is Anna! I’m from Sarasota, FL and have been missing the beach more and more every day I spend in Gainesville :>> I’m a Health Science major on the applied brain science track with a minor in Chinese! I hope to become a future PA and work with kids yay!! I really like dancing and have been apart of the UF K-pop and Chinese traditional dance team, Meteor.S since my junior year! I enjoy napping, gaming, reading webtoons, doing my nails, pickleball, and shopping!! I am the number one lover of cats, I miss my three cats at home and I long for the day I can finally raise my own. I can get shy sometimes but when I am comfortable I can get super talkative and silly goofy!! :D

Why KPL?

Over the past couple months, KPL has fostered such a welcoming and positive environment, a place where I finally felt like I belonged. Each sxster I have met has given me so much love, support, and encouragement and I have never felt luckier. Since joining, Kappas have helped me grow in so many ways, and I have now become a much stronger, more confident person than I was before. I have found such an incredible uplifting community where we can empower one another. With all this growth and support, I can’t wait to see what the future holds. :)

Hi I'm Audrey, and I'm from Orlando, Florida. Currently, I'm majoring in Natural Resource Conservation with hopes to become an environmental compliance lawyer in the future! Some facts about me are that I really love all things nature (hmu for hiking or snorkeling) and any silly crafts you can pick up at Walmart (recently I bleach painted a shirt and painted a clay turtle). I also loveeee rock and heavy metal music to a point where I think I'm genuinely going a bit deaf. Always looking for more heavy metal band recs so feel free to recommend 😎

Why KPL?

If you asked me in high school if I'd ever join a sorority, I would most definitely say no. After transferring to UF from Umiami, I randomly decided to go to a recruitment event since I was bored, and I'm really glad that I did. I was astonished at how welcoming and friendly everyone was, and I instantly felt comfortable. Kappas offers such a positive environment that really encourages sxsters to grow themselves personally and professionally. I would say that I'm an extroverted person, but I always used to come across to new people as very shy and introverted. However, I feel that Kappas has taught me to not be afraid to show who I truly am and for that I am so grateful.
