About Me: I am an INFJ who loves lofi music, foodie adventures, and checking off my to-do list. During my time as an undergrad, I worked at the Natural History Museum, taking pictures of plants for research. After undergrad, I pursued and earned my Doctorate in Pharmacy from UF. Some of my hobbies are hiking, playing video games, and binge watching animes. I am especially passionate about clinical research, traveling, and dachshunds - especially my doggo, Bambi!

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? After two and a half years at UF, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and went to a recruitment event. I knew if I hadn't, I would have regretted it after graduating. The sisters I met were genuine and true from the very start. It's truly been one of the best decisions I have made and I hope that everyone finds a home away from home wherever it may be.

About Me: Hello there! My name is Shreya and you could say that I dabble in a little bit if everything. While I know it may be pseudoscience, I love a good personality test and getting every single one of my friends to take it (I'm an ENFP, 4w3). I love to cook and try new recipes, make spotify playlists with really specific titles, dance, sing, doodle and play with my lil pomeranian, Princess. A few other fun facts about me are that I love trivia, and would like to be on Jeapoardy one day, and I also want to write and publish my own children's book. Currently, I am pursuing my MD/PhD in Michigan, where I am studying the immune system and microbiome. I hope to go in to Medicine and Pediatrics and specialize in gastroenterology so that I can perform research and help find cures for Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis.

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? When I first came to an event hosted by Kappa Phi Lambda, I was surprised with how comfortable I felt despite not knowing a single person there. To this day, sisters always make me feel welcome and accept me for who I am and who I want to be. They supported me when I wamted to be chapter president and on MGC EBoard, when I participated in the Mx. AASU pageant, when I was applying to medical school, all of it. I experienced so much professional and personal growth during my time in undergrad and it was 100% due to joining Kappa and the sisterhood that will always be there for you no matter how many years it's been.

About Me: I love going on adventures, whether it involves outdoorsy things like going stargazing or taking a trip to the springs, or simple things like running around a grocery store late at night or trying out new foods. I strongly value my relationships with others, and I love spending time with my family and friends, doing anything and everything. I have a wide range of interests (there’s very few things that I don’t like), but some things that I typically do in my free time include shopping, reading, watching Netflix (I love The Office!!!), listening to music (anything from John Mayer to Kanye West to Flume) and organizing my life via my planner and making to-do lists.

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? I joined KPL because from my first recruitment event onwards, I have never felt the need to be anyone but myself. Being around Sisters energizes me, never drains, and as someone who used to put so much energy into caring about what other people thought of me and how I should act around them, I never knew how freeing it was to let go of that before I experienced it. The Sisters of Kappa Phi Lambda provided me with the acceptance and support that allowed me to explore who I am as an individual and grow into the person that I want to be, not the person that I think others want me to be. Joining Kappa Phi Lambda was and still is the best decision that I’ve made in my entire life. Through Kappa, I’ve gained best friends -- Sisters -- that I talk to every day, leadership experiences and skills that have empowered me to step up and take positions and pursue opportunities that I never would have before, a network of friends in the greater Greek community that have made a huge world feel a little less lonely, and a deep appreciation for my Asian heritage. Kappa Phi Lambda has given me so much more than I’d ever imagined it would. It changed my life, and it could change yours too.
