About Me: Hi! I'm Yvonne and I'm from Sarasota, Fl! I am currently working at the Help Desk at The Hub and I used to be a research assistant at the Florida Natural History Museum! My dream career is to be a pediatrics doctor, but the future is still unclear. I have an obsession with turtles and I love food, especially sweets. One of my biggest pet peeves is being late so you'll find me early to a lot of things. Something that I'm working this year is to try to journal at least once a week!

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? I chose Kappa Phi Lambda because of the close bonds that are formed within the sisterhood as well as with alumnae. I felt an immediate connection with most of the active sisters in Kappa Phi Lambda when I was rushing and knew it was the place for me.

About Me: I am a first generation student from Miami, FL and I currently work on campus at the Hawkins Center for athletes. My hobbies include drawing, doodling, writing, and reading whenever I have the time. I have recently taken up hiking and have set a goal for myself to hike as many of the national parks as I can throughout my life. I would consider myself an introverted extrovert who likes to be by myself, but I hate being alone; my life is full of funny contradictions, but I'm happy to find myself along the way.

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? When I rushed Kappa Phi Lambda, I didn’t realize the kinds of connections and relationships it would expose me to. Not only this, but through sisterhood I have found a voice; I am not afraid to be who I truly am and feel comfortable. Kappa Phi Lambda opened its doors to me even before I became a sister and now I have a family– a home away from home.

About Me: I am an Asian American Adoptee and a few things I am passionate about is social justice, inclusivity, music, education, experiences, leadership, quotes, and personal growth. I firmly believe that one person can make a difference and that if you see something you don’t like, change it. You should always strive for improvement in all that you do, but remember it's about the journey, not the destination.

My life goal is to travel the world, experience cultures, and become someone influential and important in whatever career I choose to pursue. TBA on my career. Currently having a life criss…there are to many things in the world to do. I need more lives then this.

I really enjoy being involved on campus. I have been a AASU Block Party Logistics Committee Member, AASU MusicFest Logistics Head, STAR in SG, and Asian American Student Assembly Director. I’m also currently an Assistant Director for Gatorship (Ask me about it at any time. I LOVE IT. I’ll tell you all about it. <3 )

Some fun facts about me is I have an equilateral triangle of freckles on my right cheek, I went solo backpacking through Europe and Hawaii for 22 days during May 2016, I have a Mexican American brother, and I have really weird food habits like eating uncooked angel hair pasta. In my free time, I like to Netflix, hang out with friends, (attempt) to cook, and gym.

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? I joined Kappa Phi Lambda because during recruitment, I found people who I could be myself around. I found women who possessed traits and characteristics that I respected and now, I have sisters who will always believe in me. Through this organization, I have grown so much as an individual already. Ultimately, joining this sisterhood has given me a strong, solid support system and a home away from home.

About Me: I am Chinese/Taiwanese American and I was born and raised in Naples Florida. I am passionate about women's empowerment, a healthy lifestyle, and building strong relationships with my friends. I am currently studying Traditional Chinese Medicine in Austin Texas but I'm forever a diehard gator! Some fun facts about me is that I grew up on a farm and I have an obsession with goats. I also love hiking, cooking and watching YouTube! My dream is to travel the world, provide people with acupuncture treatments, and educate people about the benefits of Chinese Medicine! I also hope to move back to Florida one day and start my own acupuncture clinic.

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? Kappa Phi Lambda has pushed me out of my comfort zone in order to discover new things and test my full potential. I never imagined myself going Greek, but after seeing the close bond that each Kappa sister had with each other I knew I was missing something. Kappa Phi Lambda has truly made me a better leader and has shown me that sisterhood is forever.

About Me: Hi! I am the University of Florida's first and only KIND Healthy Snacks representative. I value good food, good music, and good people. I believe that the actions of one can't change the world, but it can mean the world to someone in need. In the future, I want to design places that can be enjoyed by all- regardless of age, religion, or socioeconomic status.

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? What I love most about Kappa Phi Lambda is our pillars. Service, and cultural diversity are values that I advocated prior to crossing, however, I have since learned that sisterhood is just as meaningful.
