About Me: I'm majoring in Computer Engineering and found passion in software and hardware. I don't particularly like sports, but I like recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, tubing, camping, etc. I do like to draw and do creative activities once in a while. I would say I'm both introverted and extroverted. And I like both tea and coffee, I can't stick with just one. I'm obsessed with jackets, hoodies, crewnecks, and anything oversize and long sleeves, I'm honestly way too obsessed as a Floridan.

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? The sisterhood! The badass sisters who rep that Scarlet Red, White, and Heather Grey! I had no idea what MGC sororities were until I talked to a sister. After spontaneously, attending a potluck rush event, I felt so welcomed despite being an unknown freshman. I saw their bonds and sisterhood, the diversity, and passion they had, which made me want to rush. Check out the Kappas and I grantee an experience like no other!

About Me: I love anything related to art and color such as fashion, beauty, cooking, and coloring. I plan on becoming a dermatologist and making YouTube videos in the future so that I can help others feel more beautiful and confident! Fun fact that everyone knows about me is that I'm obsessed with bunnies!

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? Ever since freshman year of college, I have been looking for a strong support group and a group of close-knit friends where I can be myself. I wanted a sisterhood that will push me to my fullest potential and will allow me to leave an impact and legacy in the community. I am beyond happy to be a part of Kappa Phi Lambda, a sisterhood that saw something special in me and continues to teach me what it means to be a sister. Without Kappa Phi Lambda, I would not be who I am today. I am so thankful to have been blessed with seven other amazing line sisters and to be a part of something bigger!

About Me: I recently got into plants and gardening. In my free time, I like to take care of my succulents and indoor plants to relieve stress. I don’t leave my house that often, however, I am always down to hang out with friends especially if it has something to do with food.

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? If someone had told me a year ago that I would join Greek Life I would have probably laughed. I never hated the idea of being in a sorority, but it just never crossed my mind as an organization I would be a part of in the future; I just didn’t feel like I was cut out to be a “sorority girl”. And yet, here I am. I chose Kappa because I admire the bonds that sisters share. I knew from the get-go that it was a sisterhood that I’ve been looking for.

About Me: Hi! I graduated back in 2020 and have been working in IT since then. In my free time, I love traveling and trying different types of food. My hobbies are playing video games and I’m currently learning how to crochet.

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? Growing up, I felt like I never really had a concrete friend group. This search continued even as I entered college and throughout the different organizations I tried to get involved in my freshman year, but still no luck. When I joined Kappa Phi Lambda, I knew I had finally found where I felt at home and I not only found the friend group that I was looking for, but eternal sisterhood.

About Me: Hey, I’m Alex 😊 Currently working on my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Columbia University in NYC. I’ve always been interested in sports medicine and orthopedics. Before college, I competed in taekwondo which led me to finding a passion for training & gave me the chance to train at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. That sparked my interests in my major and eventually led me to finding physical therapy where I’ve been able to combine my active lifestyle, passion for sports, using movement as medicine, and dreams of working with professional athletes.

In undergrad, Kappas gave me so much leadership experience and instilled more confidence in me to become more active within my academic and AASU community. I served as a College of Health & Human Performance Ambassador, student mentor, and research assistant. I’m working towards being able to give back to other students and sisters to gain more professional growth opportunities.

In the future, I’d love to convert a sprinter van for living and traveling while working as a travel PT. I also hope to do one of my clinical experiences in another country. I think there is so much good in the world, and I want to learn about other people and cultures firsthand to become a more culturally competent clinician.

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? Kappa Phi Lambda has been there for me since I started Undergrad. In the uncomfortable learning curves of living on my own to starting to discover new passions, sisters have been there for me through it all. I found a group of like-minded, supportive women who challenge me to become the best version of myself. These women also support my dreams and help me realize they aren't as far-fetched as I once thought. With so many sisters- not just within Rho chapter, but also nationally- I am able to always have someone who can guide me in my career, life difficulties, and relate on some level. Becoming a Kappa wasn't just a "college thing." I didn't come to UF thinking I'd find a home like this, but I know that when I graduate I will always have supportive women by my side.

About Me: I am a complete art enthusiast with a love for DIYs, pencil drawings, origami, friendship bracelets, and other forms of arts and crafts. I enjoy looking at and studying art pieces (especially at the Dali Museum), but rarely create any because although I have a deep appreciation for art, I lack skills in making it. Similarly, I spend an alarming amount of time watching YouTube videos and makeup tutorials, but never really wear any makeup out of pure laziness. Also, I am obsessed with dachshunds, like my puppy named Winston! Lastly, I hope to move to France someday where I’ll finally be able to put my four years of French class in high school to use, and to shop, make art, and devour exquisite cuisines. Fun fact: if I don’t use emojis while messaging you, then it’s an imposter!

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? I joined Kappa Phi Lambda because I wanted a sisterhood other than what I already received from my elder sister, Jenn Ngo *Stabilize*. She showed me what being a sister really meant, so I knew that if she was in Kappa Phi Lambda, then that was something I wanted to be a part of as well. Besides sisterhood, I thought that being in this sorority would also open up more opportunities for me to meet new people and make lifelong friends. So far, I’ve found everything I wanted and more as a Sister of Kappa Phi Lambda.

About Me: Aspiring veterinarian, amateur food critic, and avid traveler. I love meeting new people and going to new places. My favorite destinations so far are New Orleans, Toronto, and Grand Teton National Park. Since I love traveling and nature, one of my goals is to visit all the national parks by the time I graduate from vet school. Even though I love all animals, I am a crazy cat lady at heart and my two cats, Alpha and Bert, are the pioneers to a soon-to-be cat nest. One fun fact about me is that I once held the Guinness World Record for the most amount of coffee beans moved by chopsticks! ng you, then it’s an imposter!

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? This sisterhood is filled with strong, empowering women who I wanted to learn and grow from. Here I found a family that is always supportive, present, and welcoming.

About Me: Hi! I'm a psychology major with the goal of going to nursing school after. Why nursing and not med? I hope to be able to leave my mark on as many people as I can, and I like that nursing is more hands-on and has direct contact with the patients! I'm obsessed with anything cute, such as stuffed animals, stickers, and accessories. I'm a hoarder of makeup - you'll see that I have a large makeup collection but I never use any of it. I love traveling, and I hope to be able to visit as many countries as I can in the future. My top countries to visit are Korea because I love kpop, and Japan because I'm a total weeb. A fun fact about me is that I hate the color yellow and brown.

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? I joined because I saw KPL as a group of girls that were a family, who supported each other out when they were at their lowest and were there to congratulate each other at their highest. I never felt like I really fit in anywhere, but becoming a part of KPL has changed that mindset for me. I can honestly say it was the best decision of my life. These girls have accepted me for me, and I'm not afraid to be myself around them. We all empower each other through service, philanthropy, and becoming more aware of the cultural issues that are prominent in our society. I've experienced more individual growth than I ever thought was possible and I can't wait for what the future holds.
