About Me: Hello hello!! (◕‿◕)/ I'm an aspiring materials scientist/engineer who’s very passionate about boba tea and napping. I’m a huge foodie and always down for new food adventures wherever I go! I spend a lot of my free time on artsy DIY projects and crafts like resin molding and painting. I love traveling/road trips and Harry Potter so trips to Universal are a regular in my calendar. Fun fact: I have recently become a cat mom so hmu for all the cute kitten pics (basically my entire camera roll now)!

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? I really wanted to find and experience something new, something that would encourage me to push my boundaries and grow as a person. That's what led me to Kappa Phi Lambda! From my very first recruitment event, I knew that I had found a support system unlike any other and a group of strong women who would be there to empower me for a lifetime.

About Me: Hi, my name is Kandyce with a K. I am currently a strength and performance coach based in Tampa and aspiring to be a Physical Therapist. I love traveling to new places and learning about other cultures, traditions, and people. I also love love love food, especially spicy food (if it's not burning my mouth, it's a no for me). In my free time, I like to try new workouts, go shopping, and watch old school anime. Music is a passion of mine but my favorite thing to do is discover new artists. (Fun fact: mayo, sour cream, and cream cheese are disgusting to me... I'd rather eat baked potatoes and bagels plain)

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? As a freshman, I spent my first semester trying to find my "group" on campus. I had joined multiple orgs but it wasn't until I attended a KPL GIM that I finally felt connected to people like myself. The sisters made me feel welcomed and although each person was different, they all carried the same positive and empowering energy that I still feel to this day.

About Me: Hello there! When I'm not in class you can find me at home napping, at the gym, or on a spontaneous adventure with friends! My dog Koda is my life. I take him everywhere! I really enjoy being outdoors; whether it's to study for school, playing volleyball, or just to lay out. I hope one day to become the ultimate event planner for a high-end makeup/skincare company! Another ongoing goal of mine is to travel as much as possible for as long as possible!

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? I chose Kappa Phi Lambda because I believe in everything this organization stands for. For the longest time, I surrounded myself with the wrong groups of people. The sisters of Kappa Phi Lambda share the same desire for success as I do and display generosity towards any and everyone they encounter! I am proud to be a member of this sorority!

About Me: I’m kind of a mix of all things! I love makeup, playing guitar and ukulele, binge-watching Netflix. Napping is a must! I’m a mental health and LGBTQ+ advocate, as well as a Womanist! I can talk for hours about social justice and advocacy (as one can tell from my minor). I am very passionate about self care as well! With that being said, I love me some good food! I love cooking and I am always down for food adventures. I’m not very good with small talk, but I love deep, mind-boggling conversations! Fun fact: I love Queen.

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? I chose Kappa Phi Lambda because it empowers me to be a better person and to advocate for something more than myself. It’s really rare to see such great support in this day and age and Kappa Phi Lambda really showed me what it means to really have a family away from home. With Kappa, sisterhood is something that is able to transcend time, location, and age.

About Me: Just a young adult with ADHD trying to navigate growing up! Currently what keeps me grounded is spending time with people I love, dancing, listening to neo culture technology, and playing puzzle games on my phone. During the day, you can find me researching the voice of the consumer for guiding product development at The Coca-Cola Company! I spent most of undergrad with the Filipino Student Association and served as Vice President of Membership for the 2017-2018 school year. Staying close to my culture has always been important to me, but I am grateful to connect with people wherever I go. Trying to live my life with intention every day by showing up fully, letting life happen, and speaking my truth with care and kindness.

Why Kappa Phi Lambda? One of the first things I noticed about this sisterhood is that no person is the same. We all have such different personalities and interests, but we support each other unconditionally. Instead of being forced into some sort of mold, sisters push us to utilize our own strengths to be strong women and leaders. Kappa Phi Lambda taught me that I don't have to compromise who I am to stand out; I just have to be confident in myself.

Testimonial: Since becoming a sister five years ago, KPL has brought so much love into my life. From traveling the country to driving 15 minutes to an apartment, I continue to experience life with sisters by my side. I am so grateful for everything they have done for me whether it's introducing me to new food, helping me practice interviewing, or even driving my hamster to urgent care when I was out of town (this actually happened). I've never felt like I needed to be anyone other than myself!
