    About Me:

Hello! My name is Sammy and I am love to try new things. Some of my hobbies include dance, martial arts, reading, and collecting stationary. I have a black belt in martial arts and I dance for the Genesis K-Pop dance crew at UF. Fun fact, I have spent too much money on plushies and have no room on my bed to sleep.

    Why KPL?

I chose Kappas because I sought a warm and inclusive community, particularly as a freshman. After hearing experiences about Kappas from Alexandria Lam *Wolverine*, I was intrigued and decided to take the plunge. It was during my very first cultural recruitment event that I truly grasped the essence of a "home away from home." I was overwhelmed by the profound sense of acceptance and belonging I experienced. Now, I'm eagerly looking forward to spending the next couple years at UF and beyond, cherishing the company of these remarkable individuals who have made me feel so welcome and appreciated.

    About Me:

Hiiiii my name is Kanna Isabel Agnila (she/they), I’m very extroverted, outspoken, and proudly Filipina! I’m a Psych major on the pre-med track and anthropology minor with a love for advocacy, sociology, movies, horror media, k-pop, boba, and adventures! Being from a family with two older brothers, I always wished to have sxsters and now I’m lucky to be a part of something greater than me, an organization that has given me such inspiring and amazing sxsters all over the nation. I’m always down for a good time and deep conversations. Just a warning, I’m loud, proud, and confident and love to hype others up, don’t be overwhelmed! My love languages are words of affirmation (which I’m always screaming at my amazing line sisters) and physical touch. Get to know me more personally on my instagram @kannaisabel !

    Why KPL?

It was love at first event, I met the sxster that would become my Big and immediately felt the connection and support from all of KPL. There really isn’t a sisterhood as strong and loving as Kappas, I feel so empowered not only as a sxster but in all aspects of my identity and my passions. Kappa Phi Lambda has not only made me grow as a person, giving me changes that have developed me into a better individual all around, but also given me guidance in professional settings that I will take with me after college. I aim to embody the values of the sorority all throughout my life and stay involved with actives just as my big did when I first met them at recruitment. The kind and supportive sxsters and alumna have inspired me to continue to be a support system to active and new members, giving them guidance like how others did to me. Becoming a Sxster has been monumental for me, fostering my maturity and understanding of history and reinforced important values in my life especially cultural diversity. I have become a more well rounded person, student, friend, and sxster thanks to the guidance and support of Kappa Phi Lambda. Kappas till I die ❤️‍🔥

    Positions held in Kappa:

    Webmistress (Spring 2023)

    Treasurer (Spring 2023)

    About Me:

Hellooo, my name is Ana. I was born in China, adopted at 11 months old, and have lived in Florida ever since. I am a Digital Arts and Sciences major, and I hope to one day work in the game design and development industry. Not only do I enjoy creating video games, but I also enjoy playing them. I'm a big Nintendo fan and love Pokemon, The Legend of Zelda, and Animal Crossing, just to name a few. I also love watching anything animated, especially anime and Studio Ghibli and Disney movies! Another interest of mine is traveling! My favorite places I've visited so far are Italy, the Czech Republic, China, and Japan, where I studied abroad for a summer!

    Why KPL?

Since freshman year of college, I knew of the existence of multicultural sororities and I thought joining an Asian interest sorority could be fun and interesting; however, I never saw myself as the type to join a sorority. Finally, it's senior year and the chance to join is escaping me. Not wanting to graduate and leave with regrets, I decided to go out to the recruitment events because I knew joining would be a great networking and professional growth opportunity, I would make life-long friends, connect with my culture and learn about others, and a little bit because of FOMO. I had nothing to lose, there were only positives to joining. Since going to the recruitment events, I was greeted with nothing but kindness and acceptance, and everyone was very welcoming and genuine. Kappas has really supported and uplifted me. I'm so glad I decided to step out of my comfort zone and join Kappa Phi Lambda!

    Philanthropy Chair (Spring 2023)

    Treasurer (2023-2024)

    Co-Reveal Director (Fall 2023)

    About Me:

Hi! My name is Kyra and I am a dedicated business woman who loves spending time with friends. A lot of time is taken up by my two school-related passions: business and communication studies. When not doing school, I really enjoy spending time with sxsters, going to the gym, and learning more about hair/makeup/nails. If you ever need someone to talk with you about business stuff, kirby, or everything self-care related, I'm your person!

    Why KPL?

My interest in KPL came from wanting to branch out of the business school. Although I love the community I have in the business school, I wanted a more social and culturally-relatable organization to join. I have not been a part of any cultural organizations in the past, so being a part of Kappa Phi Lambda has shown me how amazing this community is. It is so refreshing to be able to build relationships with like-minded women who believe in empowerment, sisterhood, and confidence. I love being able to embrace my own identity and I would recommend this sorority to everyone!

    About Me:

Hello!! I am Britney and I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. My family is Chinese, but geographically is from Vietnam. However, we all speak Cantonese and identify with Chinese culture the most! Growing up, I was super shy and had a lot of trouble getting out of my shell until late high school. I love getting involved with philanthropy and service-related organization, since it is something I am very passionate about. In my free time, I love to travel, crochet, watch movies, listen to music, draw, and READ! In the future, I want to start my own practice as a doctor and travel more.

    Why KPL?

I chose KPL because I was having trouble forging friendships that did not seem artificial. At the time, I did not consider myself super shy, but it still felt like many of the relationships I made were temporary and transactional. I crossed my first semester here at UF, but I ended up talking to some sisters at tabling events and gave it a try. I ended up feeling so at home and decided to rush! I learned so much about myself and KPL has pushed me to become a better person.

    Why KPL?

I'd never considered Greek life a possibility for someone like me, but by fate, I met sxsters plugging Kappas at AASU GBMs. I decided to try going to recruitment events and there, I found my family at UF—a family of incredibly intelligent, powerful, kind, and caring individuals. I found a group that supports and loves me like none other before. This sxsterhood pushes me not only to be a better person, but to strive academically and enjoy life while doing so.
